How to join WGRC.
(1) Applicants must first be members in good standing with AMA, the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Besides producing an excellent magazine, AMA provides its members with $2.5 million supplementary liability insurance, which is essential for all pilots flying at our field. You can enroll in AMA online with a credit card at the AMA website at www.ModelAircraft.org.
Alternatively you may deal with AMA via mail and phone at:
Academy of Model Aeronautics
5161 E. Memorial Drive
Muncie, IN 47302
800 435 9262
(note) Record the member number they assign to you, as you will need it if you want to apply to join the WGRC Club without waiting for the AMA membership card to reach you by mail.
(2) Complete a WGRC Club membership application. A copy may be downloaded here by clicking on the format you prefer.
(3) Bring the completed form to the next club meeting (see where and when we meet), or mail it with your initiation and dues payable to “WGRC Club” to:
WGRC Radio Control Flying Club
c/o Jack Leber, Treasurer
5121 Cinnamon Ct.
Doylestown, PA 18902
(4) At the club meeting, you can introduce yourself, and the members present will vote to accept your membership. The club Secretary will issue you your WGRC Club membership card so that you may begin flying at our field.
